Find a site's IP by domain

Enter a domain: we will show its IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, the operator (hosting), country, ASN and subnet, and whether the site works through a CDN. No sign-up.

Try:

IP addresses are taken from DNS at the moment of the request, and the operator and country from public BGP data (the free Team Cymru service). We do not store your queries together with your IP address.

What the site IP check shows

Why you might need to know a site's IP

Find the hostingThe operator (ASN) shows who hosts the site: useful for competitor analysis or before buying a project.
Verify a migrationAfter a move to a new hosting or DNS changes, the address should change. This shows whether the update has already arrived.
Tell a CDN from a serverIf the address belongs to Cloudflare or Akamai, you are seeing a delivery network, not the server itself.
Set up access and protectionThe IP is needed for firewall allowlists, database access or setting up email records.

Why a site's IP may not be the server's IP

Many sites work through a CDN or proxy: visitors reach the address of the delivery network, and it passes requests to the real server, which stays hidden. So such an address shows the CDN operator, not the hosting. We mark such cases separately.

One domain — several IPs

A domain can have several addresses: for load distribution, for fault tolerance or because of IPv6 next to IPv4. This is normal. But if the version with www and without it points to different addresses, check whether both are set up and whether there is a redirect between them. The full set of a domain's records is shown by DNS Lookup, and you can find your own address on the neighboring page.

The certificate for this host is checked by SSL Checker, and the switch from http to https is shown by Redirect Checker.

How we determine hosting and country

For each address we take BGP data: the autonomous system number (ASN), its name, the country of registration and the subnet. The ASN name usually matches the name of the hosting or provider. The country means where the network is registered, not necessarily where the server physically stands: this applies especially to CDNs, which have nodes all over the world. Who registered the domain itself, and when, is shown by WHOIS.

What else StayIndexed can do

This page is a free tool from the StayIndexed service. In your account you can save a list of your sites, refresh the check in one click and see when the IP, hosting or CDN changed (also free), while the main job of the service is to track how your pages are doing in Google.

How much it costs

The check is free, both on this page and in your account. Tokens are used to pay for the other services: indexing, speed and backlinks cost 3 tokens per check. 30 tokens are credited at sign-up, no card required.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find a site's IP?

Enter the domain in the form above: we will take its A and AAAA records from DNS and show the IP addresses together with the operator, country and ASN.

How is a site's IP different from my IP?

A site's IP is the address of the server (or CDN) where it is hosted. Your IP is the address from which you go online. You can find your own IP on a separate page.

How do I find a site's hosting?

Look at the operator (ASN) in the result: it is usually the name of the hosting provider. If it says Cloudflare or another CDN, the real hosting is hidden behind a proxy.

Does the country show where the server physically is?

Not always. The country comes from the network's registration in BGP. For ordinary hosting it usually matches the location, but for a CDN with nodes all over the world it does not.

Why does a site have several IP addresses?

A domain can have several A records for load balancing and fault tolerance, as well as an AAAA record for IPv6. This is a normal configuration.

How much does a site IP check cost?

Nothing: the check is free both on this page and in your StayIndexed account. In your account you can save a list of sites, refresh the check in one click and see the history of IP and hosting changes.
